Stretch Fabrics
Stretchable fabrics all contain either Lycra or Spandex. The technical attributes of fabrics available for your custom garments are listed below. In general, lighter colors minimize heat. Some fabrics can be ordered in special colors, with high quantity orders.

Bamboo
Part of our Eco-Tech line, we are proud to promote Bamboo as our new sustainable high-tech lycra fabric. At 95% Bamboo and 5% Spandex, this fabric has a "hand" similar to our popular Coolmax. It has very high wickability, is a shade warmer than CoolMax. Bamboo fiber does not contain any chemical additives, nor does it need chemical fertilizer to grow. It has natural antibacterial, deodorant, elasticity, moisture absorbtion and ventilation characteristics. The fiber is filled with various micro-gaps and micro-holes that provide excellent moisture management. At the end of all things, your Bamboo garment can achieve natural degredation in the soil! We make Tech Shirts out of Bamboo.  Colors available: Black and Navy Blue

Merino Wool
We've bee looking for over 20 years for a wool to use in our line, we've found the sheep of our dreams in New Zealand.  This wool is not prickly!  Prickle is the result of coarse, thick fibres irritating nerves in the skin. Merino’s fine narrow fibres ensure this irritation does not occur, thus preventing the prickle often associated with traditional wool. So comfortable that even babies can wear it next to skin.  Babies don't pull great erg scores, but you do.  And Merino is odor-repellant!  FACT - human beings sweat. The key is nature providing all the answers. Each tiny Merino fibre consists of a multitude of overlapping scales, which coupled to the high level of moisture absorption provide a poor environment for bacterial growth.  And moisture management?  Get out. Merino fibres in our fabric have a complex structure with naturally hydrophobic (water holding) interior, and a hydrophobic (water repelling) exterior. The Merino sits next to the skin and actively absorbs perspiration vapor molecules. It then releases these vapor molecules into the outside environment before they have a chance to condense to liquid sweat between the skin and the garment. This allows your muscles to work harder, for longer, in a less clammy and more comfortable environment.

Polypropylene
Wickable and strong. Polypro has been the backbone of the JL product line for almost 25 years.  We love this stuff!  Treated with anti-microbial, this fabric won't retain either water or bacteria. Retains its body for years of tough use. Perfect for unisuit bottoms, tops, trou and tights. Colors available: Black and Navy Blue

Brushed Polypropylene
Same fabric as above--brushed on the inside to give added insulation. Great for a very warm technical shirt, leggings and full-length unitight. Colors available: Black, Navy Blue, Forest Green, Red and White.

Polartec-Powerstretch
Made of recycled plastics, blended with lycra to give our Turtleshell and Heavy Techshirt their great fit. Soft, light, and warm even when wet. Colors available: Black, Navy Blue, Royal Blue, Flourescent (Hi-Viz).
